Accepted Answer

Yes: A bad idea. If you really really really had to because you are a professional and you were in the super bowl or something they make turf toe plates which prevent bending in the forefoot and then you could wrap the toe in coban or coflex, but in reality, it is not a good idea.

Accepted Answer

YES: You "push-off" with your big toe and most sports will require you to do this over and over.  You'll do better in the long run to rest and splint it until it's healed. If the fracture is into the joint, it may need to be surgically realigned and repaired.

i have a moderate pain in my left foot- bottom of it, on the inside side, close to and somewhat on the heel. what could this be? (i do play sports)

Accepted Answer

Plantar fasciitis or: Possibly a spur. I would initially try a commerically available shoe insert that protects the heel but an xray or MRI may be beneficial.

Need to examine: What you described suggests herniation of the muscle through fascia, the fibrous covering of the muscle. If it does not bother you, you may let it be.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

walked on inured tendons/ligaments for 2yrs, and my arch dropped, other parts of my foot are sore. if i get surgery will i be able to play sports again?

Discuss: You have to discuss possible outcome with your surgeon or get 2 nd opinion. Exam of your foot is the key to the answer.

i am casted for a ankle sprain/and two minor fibula fractures. my foot isn't sore, so does that mean i can play sports as soon as my cast is gone?

Post injury rehab: Just as important as the treatment or surgery is the rehab of the extremity. The isolation of the part will weaken the muscles and hurt your balance. Several weeks to months of physical therapy often done to help bring you back to normal, and, even then, you'll have to ease back into the sport or activity or risk reinjury of the area(s).

i have a big white itchy spot on my big toe 's skin and when i walk it can get a little bit painful. it was a tiny spot last week and now it got much bigger. this white spot appeared after playing basket whit my friend.

Dermatologist : It’s a good idea to have a Podiatrist or a Dermatologist take a look at it. It needs to be examined clinically to make a diagnosis and to start treatment. You may even need to have it biopsied.

my 7 year old was playing in a pool 2 days ago. after the pool she got very painful red bumps under her foot toes, soles, heel. it doesnt seem to be better and its keeping her up at night. the red bumps are raised and painful to touch not itchy?

: Skin rashes after swimming in a pool can be of two types: Chlorine reaction or bacterial infection. Both typically go away with no intervention, typically in a week or so. Discomfort can be minimized with over the counter antihistamines or steroid creams. If the rash worsens or the child develops a fever, she should be seen in person at an urgent care.

Ice and a topical: Antifungal but if no improvement see a foot doc. 
I would make sure your sneakers are the correct size as well.
