Yes: There is no problem taking all of these supplements at the same time. If you take fish oil it is best to take that at a different time than mineral supplements or the oil may reduce absorption of minerals; otherwise it is generally safe to take most supplements at the same time.

i want to start taking supplements. the ones i specifically will get are zinc (30mg), vitamin c (3,000mg), vitamin d3 (400ui) and biotin (5,000mcg). how do i go about easing into all of them? or is it safe to take all at once and take them daily?

: You could take multiple vitamins daily, however your choice to take very high doses of certain vitamins may need for you to look into the pros and cons more. The use of megadose of vitamins may not be as beneficial as proposed, because like vitamin C is excreted in the urine if taken at high doses so it is a waste that does not benefit the body. Vitamins could be toxic if too high like vitamin D.

Waste of money: There is no good reason to take this amount of supplements. They offer little or no benefit for a healthy 22 year old.

ANS: I would not take any of these unless you need a way to use up your money. There is no control of what is in them and no trials demonstrating  longer/healthier life. I don't: Believe if you have a healthy diet that you should take any of those supplements except the fish oil, if you're sure it doesn't contain contaminants, or folate (folic acid) if you're pregnant.

Possibly fish oil: Fats including fish oil can sometimes aggravate reflux; this is less likely if taken with food.

Why?: Why would you take this?...No need...Chances are that multivitamin already has biotin in it. You will be making very expensive urine. You can only  miniscule amounts of  , then it just overflows into urine and through your skin...Studies are now showing that too much of some vitamins can actually be toxic..Best to just take one good quality multivitamin and talk to your family doc  about vitamins.

As : As a general rule of thumb, it is better to take vitamins with a meal. This allows for better absorption. However this is not an absolute. In addition, remember to check with your doctor before taking any vitamins, minerals, or supplements in order to ensure that it won't interfere with any possible medications you are taking.

OK together but...: Minerals are best absorbed on an empty stomach as adequate stomach acid helps & our stomachs have the most acid when empty. However, stomach acid kills acidophilus, so it's far better to take it after a meal (for some strange reason many probiotic labels say take on empty stomach- they're wrong!). Biotin can be taken any time. Taking vit c with iron improves absorption. Consider vit. D in winter.

: Sure, you can take them all at once. Why do you think you are deficient? For a 19-year-old to have a deficiency of any of these on almost any diet would be very unusual, and taking a few random supplements out of the hundreds out there is a bit arbitrary and likely to cause more problems than help. But that's just my 2 cents. What are the chances you'll be taking 3 different supplements in a year?
