One: A uterine fibroid is a benign, or non cancerous tumor that forms inside the uterus. Usually fibroids do not cause any pain or problems at all.  If they become large and symptomatic because of this they can be surgically managed by your gynecologist.

grandma had a tumor operartion and after some years diagnosed with cancer. my mother had similar type of tumor operation(fibroid uterus) 4 years back. now worried about my mother. as cancer is genetic in many cases . what should i do now?

Hard to do: Well - that is hard to do - as pre menopausal women produce estrogen and that is what fibroids need to grow.
So hence as for what to eat to prevent fibroids- you might decrease foods that have estrogen like properties -  so foods such as black cohosh, yams, and soy have estrogen like properties.

what would be the type of symptoms associated with a fibroid measuring 7.6 cmx 5.2 cm x 6.6 cm that is pedunculated  on top of posterior fundus?

Fibroids: A fibroid which is posterior on the fundus and on a stalk ("pedunculated") may rest on the sacral area of the spine and cause some discomfort ( as back pain).  Laparoscopic surgery can remove the fibroid easily if this is a problem.  The simple existence of a fibroid of this size , without significant symptoms is unnecessary for surgery.

It depends: Uterine fibroids are common as women get older and get near/past menopause. Most of them cause no symptoms , so they can be left alone. If the fibroids cause significant pain or very heavy menses, then they require treatment. The treatment can be in the form of hysterectomy (Removal of uterus) or some alternative local (new) treatments like vascular emblization. Good luck

It is possible: Whereas many patients with uterine fibroids suffer no problems, others may have uterine pain which may be crampy or achy.  Depending on the size of the uterus, pelvic pressure and pain may also be referred to the back.  Your gynecologist can assess the size and tenderness of the uterus and let you know what options you have for dealing with the problem.

should an have an anterior, subserosal leiomyoma that measures 29 x 24 x 36mm be removed before trying to conceive?  how likely is a fibroid of this type and size to cause miscarriage?

Not likely: This fibroid is on the outside front of your uterus and is not impinging on the intrauterine cavity and therefore miscarriage is less likely assuming you can get pregnant with it in place.

if my report from a transvaginal ultrasound says i have a left subserosal fundal type....any chance this fibroid is actually located on the right side of my body?

: A transvaginal ultrasound report does not typically get left and right mixed up. But, anything is possible. If your doctor is unsure if the left side is correct, it could be repeated or a different test done to confirm the location. So, see your gynecologist to interpret the result and advise on next steps. Good luck!

Menopause: If you can wait until menopause the lack of estrogen will decrease the size of your fibroid.
