A member asked:

What would be the type of symptoms associated with a fibroid measuring 7.6 cmx 5.2 cm x 6.6 cm that is pedunculated on top of posterior fundus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fibroids: A fibroid which is posterior on the fundus and on a stalk ("pedunculated") may rest on the sacral area of the spine and cause some discomfort ( as back pain). Laparoscopic surgery can remove the fibroid easily if this is a problem. The simple existence of a fibroid of this size , without significant symptoms is unnecessary for surgery.
