i think i have a trapped nerve? i am having increasing discomfort in my neck, head, shoulder/trapezoidal muscles and down my arm to my fingers. help!

Nerve impingement: You may be. try heat to the area (not too hot) and that may allow some relief with vasodilation of the area and less "pinching" on the nerve.  Anti-inflammatory (NSAID)  medication can help too.  See a doc for definitive treatment.

when i lay on stomach with arm straight up above head for couple minutes neck hurts& fingers start tingling & go completely numb &pain in neck gets worse. could that mean a trapped nerve in neck? same issues in hand randomly but nerve tests normal?

: NOT In the NECK.  You most likely have a problem in the shoulder involving the brachial plexus and may indeed have thoracic outlet syndrome.  See a vascular or thoracic surgeon, and get this further evaluated.

pain in neck & shoulder blade, numbness, tingling & pain in hand. fingers go numb & neck hurts bad when on stomach with arm straight above head. every test for nerve entrapment in wrist & elbow normal. could trapped nerve in neck be causing this?

: I suspect a nerve impingement on a nerve root exiting the neck caused by a bulging intervertebral disc or a spur. An MRI of your neck would be a worthwhile test to help detect the cause of your discomfort.

Eye Nerves, Muscles: Trapped muscles of the eye can cause crossed eyes which need to be evaluated by an eyemd. The key nerve inside the eye is the optic nerve which can be damaged by trauma, tumors: these also need to assessed by an eyemd.

Yes it could.: The nerves which give sensation to the back of the scalp come from the upper three nerve roots of your neck area.  If one of these are "trapped" it could cause pain.  There are a number of other causes to consider if you're having pain in that area.  You should consult your physician for a full examination/evaluation.

Neck or Thoracic: Outlet are like places. Nerve conduction tests might help locate the site. Consider seeing your pcp to arrange this or consider seeing a neurologist or neurosurgeon.

i have a shooting pain in my ear every 30- 40 seconds. i have no ear infection but think it might be a trapped nerve in my neck/shoulder .

Pinched nerves: Pinching of nerves or nerve roots in the neck area cause pain below the level of the ear. Jabbing pains in the ear may be related to pressure changes in the eustachian tube which runs between the back of the nose and ear drum. A mild inflammation of the ear drum is also a possibility.Have your physician examine your ear and neck if symptoms persist.

Numbness feet: Ok see your GP for blood test. Usually it takes 15-20 yr for diabetic neuropathy to set in if the blood sugars are not well controlled . Discuss with GP please

Head injury: Hitting the top of the head can be jarring to the brain and the neck. It is difficult to comment on your description of 'nerves in my face are jumping'. Also, I don't know how hard was the blow or if you lost consciousness. You should seek medical attention to exclude a concussion or neck injury.
