Wait until morning : Ok to wait until tomorrow. Try and protect the ankle.  Use crutches if available and know how to use them    You can place ice if swollen.  Take Aleve or Advil for pain and swelling

Archilles: The bone spur is in the archilles tendon - taking it out would mean disrupting the integrity of the tendon and may result in some of the tendon being excised as well.
