How long can i expect to be in a cast with torn achilles?

Ask your doctor: There is no "right answer" as different orthopaedic surgeons have varying protocols that can all be acceptable. Usually immobilization with surgical or non surgical treatment in a cast or boot lasts close to 3 months to allow for adequate protection of the tendon healing.
