Likely Suture Knots: Heavy suture material is used for achilles tendon repairs. After all swelling goes down over time, sometimes the suture knots become palpable and can goes symptoms. If suture knots are causing a problem, they can be surgically removed at this stage.

Possibly: It is possible to tear the tendon again. The knots may be due to the suture that was used to repair it. I would advise getting an MRI and seek a podiatrist for follow up and evaluation.
