Depends: Treatment depends on whether you have a complete rupture, wher the rupture is along the tendon, how large the gap is and what physical activities you are planning to return to. In your age bracket we usually repair these surgically which decreases (somewhat) the possibility of a future re rupture. Surgery is usually an out patient procedure. Good luck.

Will need surgery: Torn achilles tendon needs to be surgically reattached. So within the next few days or so you and your doctor will be making a decision on what to do with the torned achilles tendon.

Depends: On how severe it is. They should take x-ray and MRI then put you in a splint with crutches and referral to specialist. Use ice elevation and stay off it.
