See the Endodontist: Not sure what the question is. If the tooth is in good condition and can be used with a reasonable prognosis (5years minimum) then have the root canal procedure completed. If not, then extraction may be best bet. If the rc treatment cannot be proberly completed, then you need to know the prognosis. See the endodontist. It is critical that the space be filled if you have extraction. Think implant.

Not bad to not good: A root canaled tooth  lets you maintain a toothed space.  The nerve is gone so hopeful no pain but the tooth rarely can get reinfected and for sure it will continue to decay if you let go. An extracted area will allow teeth to change position near the empty space and cause more troubles in the long run of life. Best bet...Go to the dentist regularly and maintain good dental health.

Root Canal: If tooth can be saved and restored.  It would be much wiser to keep your own teeth for as long as possible..Implants are good but nothing will be like your natural tooth.

RCT or EXT?: Worse in what way? Pain? Cost? Chair time? Etc.  I will make the assumption you are referring to discomfort or pain. Either one should be totally pain free for the procedure ; anywhere from no pain to moderate discomfort afterwards. This varies from individual to individual ; on a case by case basis depending upon the skill of the dentist ; the specific circumstances. Better to save tooth if u can.

RCT or Extraction: Whether to do RCT or extract a tooth depends upon many factors and not purely the age of the patient (which is the only information given to us). It depends on whether it is an upper or lower tooth, an anterior or posterior tooth, infected or not, integrity of the tooth, occlusion, the development of the permanent tooth etc. A Pedodontist and Orthodontist can confer with each other and advise you.
