RCT or Extraction: Whether to do RCT or extract a tooth depends upon many factors and not purely the age of the patient (which is the only information given to us). It depends on whether it is an upper or lower tooth, an anterior or posterior tooth, infected or not, integrity of the tooth, occlusion, the development of the permanent tooth etc. A Pedodontist and Orthodontist can confer with each other and advise you.

Neither: Children's dentists will do different procedures to maintain baby teeth until the permanent ones are ready to come in.
