Accepted Answer

Maybe: Symtoms could be symptom of a variety of etiologies- asthma, allergies, post nasal drip, medicne related or potentially more serious etiologies- need to see physician, a complete physical exam,  see if a chest xray needed.

when i'm anxious, i inhale deeply until i can take in no more air & feel a tickle in my lungs in order to calm down. what could be causing the tickle?

Interpretation: That would be your interpretation of a sensation. The sensation is from reaching the beyond the usual limit of your lung capacity. BTW, the most helpful part of 'calm down' breathing is not the filling of your lungs but the complete emptying. Your exhale - through lips blowing out an imaginary candle - it what counts. It voids the old CO2 leftovers allowing new O2 to refresh cells. Best!

i was eating pizza, & breathed down what felt like a very small piece of crust, coughed for about 15 minutes, i don't know if it was removed or not, but i feel a mild tickle in my lungs on occasion when i breathe, making me want to cough?

: Most likely still a bit of irritation from pizza crust.  Or if a bit of spicy sauce could also be reason

i am getting over a cold and i have asthma and there is a tickle in my back (lung area) on the left side and it is uncomfortable. what could this be?

Not sure: but we do know that a cold can trigger an asthma attack. If the involvement in on only one side of the lung, one would need to rule out pneumonia as well.

i have a very chesty cough i feel breathless constantly-i also a have a tickly feeling in my lungs at the end of each breath. how can i relieve this?

Irritated lung: Seems you have lung irritation infection induced. The tickle comes from irritation of lung receptors, shortness of breath probably swelling of bronchial tubes causing asthma symptoms. For the tickle, a medication like Tessalon pearl is helpful and for the difficulty breathing, an inhaler like Ventolin helpful. If mucus is thick Robitussin or Robitussin DM (guaifenesin and dextromethorphan) helpful. See M.D.

got a tickly dry feeling in my lungs, sort of like my lungs are thirsty. used my asthma inhaler (i get mild asthma sometimes) but it's come back again?

Asthma: The asthma rescue inhaler should last a few hours.  If you need it more than just 2-3 times per week then we need to step up treatment and add a controller medicine typically, a steroid inhaler which is safe.  Continue this until your doctor says to stop.  Most likely, this is just temporary.

Thoracic radiculopat: I am assuming that you mean tingling of chest wall and not lung. In this case nerves to chest wall come from thoracic spine. Irritation or pinching is likely cause.

Tingling upper chest: is it front or back? Could be muscular, or even reflux or vascular.  or from impingement ( nerve irritation in shoulder/ neck disc  compression), or lesion or even TMJ Rarely MS. Could try Ranitidine(reflux)  and motrin/aleve( for impingement/muscular) if not allergic and see if helps.  Consider CXR( r/o lung/lesions) and then  echocardiogram if everything else is negative F/u/ w/ doc

i have some tingling feeling in the chest by my lung area. i cough very dry coughs.  have been to gps but they say all is fine. must i be worried?

Chest tingling cough: Have you been evaluated for asthma, as that can present with dry cough. Was a xray done to check for mass?  Consider costochondritis  just inflammation of the rib joint but that is usually not associated with cough, could be mycoplasma infection responds to antibiotics, could be reflux responds to prevacid /ranitidine ( if not allergic) , rarely cardiac (check echo) f/u/ w/ doc

tingling sensation on one spot like pinching on right lung and 2 spots on left lung . is it anything to worry about ?
