I am getting over a cold and i have asthma and there is a tickle in my back (lung area) on the left side and it is uncomfortable. what could this be?

Not sure: but we do know that a cold can trigger an asthma attack. If the involvement in on only one side of the lung, one would need to rule out pneumonia as well.
