The : The implants used in gluteal augmentation are solid silicone, therefore unable to be ruptured.  These implants are not the same as breast implants, which are filled with a gel silicone and can in fact rupture.  Best of luck to you.

Not made of saline: I am not aware of any saline buttock implants that are used. In the unlikely event that someone would use a saline breast implant for a buttock augmentation, it would theoretically be 'possible for saline butt implants to rupture.'.

MRI best for leaks: An MRI is the gold standard for diagnosing ruptured or leaking gel implants.

Depends...: Removal of breast implant surgery tends to be a relatively painless operation, associated with minimal recovery time, compared to initial breast augmentation surgery. You will need to discuss your long-term goals with your plastic surgeon; some patients decide to proceed with breast implant replacement, some do not. Additional surgery may also be necessary depending on your physical exam and goals

Less Recovery : Generally, ruptured breast implants can be removed through the same incision used to place implants ( in most cases).  The operation tends to be relatively painless and associated with much less recovery time than the initial breast augmentation procedure.  Your plastic surgeon will be able to be more precise when it comes to your specific situation.

i had to have my implants removed due to a needle biopsy rupture should they have used an ultra sound? please help me

Not necessarily : While an ultrasound can help guide the needle, it does not prevent the needle from going too far.  It is very difficult to keep the tip of needle in view continuously during passage of the needle.  You need to focus on what were the results of the biopsy? Also implants do not last forever, they usually only last 7 to 10 years.  Replace them with whatever size you like!

i had dow croning implants put in in 1990 they have since ruptured causing them to leak into my lymphatic  system. can u advise me as to what tests.

No specific time: Breast implants come in many varieties. There is a misconception that they need replacement in a certain number of years (usually 10, ) but this is not true. They should be checked periodically, but only need replacement if they deflate or cause other problems.

Seroma v lymphocoele: Fluid in tissue is a balance between leak rate from a blood vessel (rate is higher in surgical areas due to inflammation and increased blood flow) and rate of resorption (fluid that goes thru the lymph channels). Usually fluid around an incision is a seroma, a collection of fluid that is similar to serum, yellowish in color.  On occasion, fluid can be lymph, creating a lymphocoele.

Not sure: It could be a problem with the implant materials? You might want to discuss with plastic surgeon who implanted yours about the implant you received and see if there are documented issues or not
