Swollen gums may need to be evaluated after antibiotic therapy for potential periodontal disease. This may not be a very easy or quick fix, so get on it. If you can't get into an md soon, a dentist may be able to help you.

: Swollen gums result from either mechanical irritation or infection. Make sure you are using a soft toothbrush and simple toothpaste without whiteners or other irritating ingredients. Rinse well and avoid acidic foods. The swelling should go down in a few days.

2. Seasonal flu is very common viral infection. Usually the condition resolves on its own with home care. Drink water and get a good rest. If concerned, see your pcp.

Or, go to Minute Clinic, etc. Meantime- high fluids, ibuprofen, sleep.
