Deep vs. not deep: DVT is a problem of the large deep veins. It is not a problem of superficial veins.

Yes: spider veins can occur anywhere on the body. most can be treated with lasers or sclerotherapy.

Not really: "spider veins" are extremely common in women, especially after pregnancy (combination of hormonal changes and venous pressure stress). There is no pill or supplement you can take that will make them go away. They can be treated by surface therapies such as injection sclerotherapy.

Delivery: Unfortunately with the increased venous pressure created by pregnancy and the associated hormonal changes, there is no great answer to this problem.  Compression hose are still your best bet for now.

Phantom pregnancy: Has no specific medical definition, and so cases can be pretty different. It is not well understood, and there are few enough well documented cases to draw specific conclusions. That said, i suppose veins and nipple darkening are possible. The clinical name is pseudocyesis and you can read some about it here http://www.Webmd.Com/baby/guide/false-pregnancy-pseudocyesis.

Spider veins, no: and varicose veins, not appreciably.  However, they both may get worse with pregnancy, you should wear good compression stockings.  Good luck.

i have blue spider veins in my leg and one or two small purplish veins. am i at risk of dvt in pregnancy if i become pregnant? im terrified!!!!

No: These spider veins and small blue veins are simply a sign that some of your veins and a bit of back flow creating these veins that you see. DVT in pregnancy is always a small risk but you are no more likely than anyone else. These are really benign vascular formations and not associated with DVT. DVT as name involves deep veins not these superficial spiders.

Usually not: Usually not; they will probably get worse with pregnancy.
The only time when they might be putatively dangerous that I can think of is if/when they're associated with deep vein thrombosis (deeper calf, groin, pelvic veins).

9 year every day drinking history (quit 50 days ago).  us showed normal sized homogenous liver.  ast 9.  alt 15. plt 340.  albumin 4.9.  8 spider angiomas although some present since pregnancy. 
others small and i just noticed them. cirrhosis likely?

Alcohol and liver: With you history some degree of cirrhosis is likely, but it probably is not severe based on your lab test. I recommend obtaining a liver ultrasound, the best way to assess the liver. A live CAT scan can also be helpful, but if you stop drinking I don't think you need a major workup at this point.
