Usually not: Usually not; they will probably get worse with pregnancy. The only time when they might be putatively dangerous that I can think of is if/when they're associated with deep vein thrombosis (deeper calf, groin, pelvic veins).

Pregnancy and veins.: Both spider and varicose veins tend to worsen during pregnancy due to both hormonal changes and the increased intraabdominal pressure from the developing fetus. It would be advisable to wear support hose during the pregnancy and I would also recommend seeing a vein specialist who could then answer all of your questions and follow you during the pregnancy.
