While there may be signs and symptoms associated with it, the diagnosis is based on blood sugar levels.  Sores leaking clear fluid may arise for many reasons. If you have swelling in your legs and poor blood flow, there may be an underlying illness that should be investigated.

A MD visit and test for prolactin(blood) can make that determination. If you were recently pregnant in the past 6 months secretions can also occur if you have recently stopped breast feeding.

May be infected...: Sores that leak fluid may be infected, and those that have a bad odor may have some rather undesirable bacteria in them. A primary care doctor or a dermatologist can evaluate and get one started on treatment, plus be able to give a diagnosis. Rashes are difficult to describe in words, so do need to be examined.

Ingrown hair : Your description sounds like an ingrown hair but if it does not resolve, you should see a regular doctor.  In the meantime, you can try to get it to drain by applying pressure and use over-the-counter triple antibiotic ointment 2-3 times a day.

More than one?: It is more likely that is more than one of the same bug, possibly ants that bit you.  It is impossible to know with that description.  But keep area clean, dry, don't scratch it, and if no improvement see your doctor.

Clear fluid?: I would wear a pad.  No urination issues? Not malodorous? Not pregnant i presume. No pain either? It doesn't sound like a problematic issue, maybe just a pad.  If its mucus a birth control pill may help by thickening it so it's not runny but that may be a long shot.  Gd luc.

Need to see a: healthcare provider asap to make sure it is not infected.  Chronic infection can cause some fluid to appear around the site of puncture, and if you do not treat it you may need surgery to shave things there by the time the infection gets to the side of the ear into the scalp.  Better be safe than sorry.  There isn't any other plausible explanation for this fluid.
