Sores on legs: Hello. Thank you for asking this question. Diabetes is diagnosed with a blood test. While there may be signs and symptoms associated with it, the diagnosis is based on blood sugar levels. Sores leaking clear fluid may arise for many reasons. If you have swelling in your legs and poor blood flow, there may be an underlying illness that should be investigated.
