It increases therisk: Any time you are sedated or put to sleep, there is some risk of complications. This risk increases further if you have any infection in your body before doing the procedures like this endoscopy or any kind of surgery.

Nausea, burping, ach: I assume the EGD and colonoscopy were normal. Were you checked for gluten sensitivity, liver or gall bladder disease? If the gastroenterologist has no more suggestions, I recommend seeing a specialist in internal medicine who will take a thorough history&amp;system review, do a physical examination&amp;order appropriate tests in order to make a differential diagnosis &amp; may refer you to other consultants.

Depending on the cause of your chills and body aches will determine how fast the symptoms can resolve.  Over the counter Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen) (acetominophen) may help with the symptoms, but if they persist, see a dr. To get evaluated and diagnosed.  Good luck.

Your symptoms are consistent with the flu, and it is most likely cause of these symptoms during winter months in a young adult.
