every time i get a deep tissue massage i feel flu like symptoms for a day or two. i'm fatigued, i have the chills, and my whole body aches. causes?

Massasge: and flu-like symptoms. When you get a massage, the sludge of the lymphatic fluid is circulated through your body. That needs to be eliminated through urination and BM. If elimination of the toxins are slower than the release of them you can get flu-like symptoms. Please see your doc to make sure you are otherwise healthy. Peace and good health.

Massage is: Wonderfully liberating... but it also liberates toxins, and a deep tissue massage can cause muscle breakdown as well. DRINK LOTS OF WATER! This will help with elimination of both from your bloodstream after massage. I agree a quick check with your doctor for a chemistry panel would be wise.
