my wife is experiencing  swollen face, jaw pain and warm skin (warm enough to melt an ice pack after 10 mins of use) on her left cheek. she just had her bottom left wisdom tooth pulled yesterday. is being that warm normal?

Possibilities: Include referred pain to your lower jaw from the upper. Sinus issues often affect upper teeth and sometimes that pain can seem like it is coming from someplace else like your lower jaw or elsewhere. It could also be that you have a bad cold along with independent dental issues. Get a thorough dental exam to understand the root causes of your discomfort and develop a treatment plan to address it.

No: No the eustschian tube which runs from the ear is near the tmj, sometimes if this becomes clogged or stuffy from a cold you can get some jaw discomfort.

TMJ: Tmj or temporomandibular joint pain can  cause jaw pain, clicking, or locking of the   jaw. It can cause a sense of fullness in the ears, ringing in the ears, and generalized dizziness or being off kilter.  Treatment of TMJ includes heat to area, soft diet, antiinflammatories  like ibuprofen,  sometimes a muscle relaxant, and a night guard for the teeth..

A Few Things: With that history it could be many things...Most likely causes include...
1. Tmj disorder
2. Sinusitis
3.Ear infection
i would recommend a md visit first to check ear and sinuses, then dentist if those are ok.
This is common as pain in the head can come from many sources and the actual cause can take a bit of diagnostic detective work.

cold sweats and goosebumps while working out in a normal temp room. flushed face but cold body. i have ist and am on bystolic. this has never happened before. cold and clammy with jaw pain for about 2 hrs after. hr was good for activity level. why?

Stop!: Before you do ny more workouts please seek full work-up by a specialist Cardiologist. Your symptoms are disturbing. would be extremely helpful if you wrote down your history in detail and brought it with you to the Cardiologist.

Could be: Have you had cold sores before? The only reason I ask is because cold sores on exactly the same place on both sides of the mouth at the same time would be rare but not improbable. Yes, cold sores can be extremely painful but I'd be more inclined to think that you might be possibly traumatizing your checks in the back by chewing on them? Not sure, can you describe jaw pain?
