Interesting: It seems that the success rate for implants is about the same as for root canal tx., or maybe even a little higher.
If the tooth would need a crown after the endo, you may be better off with the implant.  The costs would be close.

Depends on diagnosis: If the tooth in question has plenty of good solid tooth structure still in tact then root canal therapy along with a crown is the treatment  of choice. If there is any doubt that the tooth is comprised with gross decay or a fracture line that is down into the root structure then extraction, implant and crown are indicated.

i'm having pain when i move cheek or press on cheek above #11 and #12. i had root canal on #10 2 days ago and implant on 9 2 weeks ago.is this normal?

Normal at this stage: Most likely its related to where they gave you the shot and will subside in a day or two. Advil (ibuprofen) or other Ibuprophen meds if you can take them will help make it more comfortable and speed the recovery.

No: Perfoming a root canal on a tooth will help heal the tooth without need to extract it.  As long as the tooth is still in your mouth, no implant needed.  An implant is used to restore a tooth that has been extracted.

The : The cost of dental care in the ukraine is lower than the cost of dental care in the United States because the cost of living is lower.  The cost for care in the ukraine is also significantly lower than some of itâ€™s neighboring countries. For instance, it is about 30 to 40% lower than in hungary or poland.

When : When you break a molar down to the gum-line, it can be restored with a post&core and a crown, but this is not always the best option. If it is decayed, there may not be enough healthy tooth to restore it. How long has the molar been broken? The longer it has been that way, the more likely the tooth is unrestorable due to decay. Sometimes it is best to remove the tooth and place an implant.The biggest advantage for an implant is that it has a chance to last forever. Today, there is an implant available that can be placed the same time as the extraction, as long as there is no infection present. These are manufactured by southern implants. They are relatively new to dentistry. I have personally had 6 placed in my patients, including my wife, with great results. Ask you dentist about them.

The : The first choice would be to use what remains of the tooth and restore it- if feasible.  If not, then you and your dentist should consider removing the tooth and replacing it with either a dental implant or a fixed partial denture (a bridge).  That would involve three teeth.  I am not sure what you refer to when you mention a 'simple single tooth bridge.'.

That's one option: We can't tell you what would be your options and certainly not your best option without actually seeing you in person, along with knowing your medical and dental history and seeing current x-rays of your teeth. Your own dentist should be able to explain all your options and make a recommendation.

Your choice: Both treatment options are viable. Can't tell how strong your actual tooth is, but i always prefer to restore natural teeth, if possible. There are no guarantees either way, and if the implant has difficulty integrating into your bone, you will be stuck without a tooth. Extract only if unrestorable.
