Try to learn: The principles of meditation.  At the age of 23 years, there should be no problem with sleep.

does it matter at what time you get your sleep (from 3am to 11am for example), or simply as long as you get 8hours of rest, you're fine?

This may be: O.K. But on a regular basis it is not in sync with the normal light/dark cycle called circadian rhythm. In the long run it might affect the controls of the endocrine/autonomic (automatic) systems. That could affect the monthly rhythm of the periods.

i dont nap of a day.cant get a good nights rest.melatonin dont work. is trazodone good for sleep.dont want habit forming drug like ambieim.

It does work: Sometimes. Not on everybody. No habit forming potential with Trazodone.

i have mononucleosis and developed a full body rash, not from drugs. how can i help ease the itch as i can barely sleep. i've tried nothing but rest . i had mono for 3 days total, and now only feel the effects of the rash.

If : If you have mononucleosus and sore throat and rash please see your physician to make sure you don't also have strep throat.  They often happen at the same time.  
In general though, itchy rashes like you describe can feel better with cool (not hot) baths or showers and taking over the counter benadryl (diphenhydramine).  Avoid wearing itchy sweaters too.

did geodon (ziprasidone) damage my histamine and dopamine receptors?  i am taking no psych drugs and do not feel great.  only way to sleep is one benadryl or 0 rest

No: Geodon (ziprasidone) does not damage histamine or Dopamine receptors nor any other receptors in the central nervous system that we are aware of. I do not know why you were on Geodon (ziprasidone) in the first place, but if you're not feeling well i would recommend that you go back to your physician. It is possible to develop insomnia secondary to your primary psychiatric illness which then continues even if the primary psychiatric illness comes under control. This is called insomnia secondary to a mental disorder. You may get relief from your insomnia with melatonin which is over-the-counter. It is generally taken two hours before the desired time to fall asleep.

how can one get a good nights rest? i tend to stay up quite late and get up around 9:30 &11 depending on how i sleep but i am alway so tyerd all day.

Sleep hygiene: There are many causes of poor sleep.  Avoid caffeine in the evening,  avoid alcohol,  reduce stress in your life, mediate, exercise,  no smoking,  sleep in a dark and quiet room, no tv, computer, or phi me or internet before bed, healthy diet, go to bed and get up at the same time every day,  and camomile tea are some things that can improve sleep.  If this doesn't help see a sleep doctor.

No: Poor sleep quality, back and neck strain.
Considering you are getting paid for doing it, you have to make a decision if it's worth.

Below: Decrease the caffeine in your diet,exercise everyday,cut off all electronics 1 hour before bed including phone,no eating 2 hours before bed bed only for sex and sleep,if need something to help try Remfresh a time released melatonin or regular melatonin

Ideally : Some people sleep more,some people less but ideally you should get at least 7 hours sleep at night.Sleeping too much is also harmful.So aim for 7-9 hours.

Performance: There is a basic truth that you can never out perform your abilities but may underperform for a variety of reasons. The 4 prime considerations are: state of health; state of hunger; comfort of setting:& state of rest. The unrested individual is less likely to perform up to their ability level because vigilance to task will be off.Maintain the listed areas and effort produces better results.
