Familiar: You'll get fat and it is rough on the teeth. Everybody knows this so don't criticize people who do it. As for yourself, reach for a nice apple or orange instead.

Yes: I had a mother whose child had add but when she got the child off of foods with colors, the problem went away.  This is not a study but a case report.

Multiple: Continuing deterioration of health to the point of loss of body functions.  I know a man that was so bad (could not even walk), the doctors told him he had 3 months to live.  On his own, he decided to give up soft drinks.  That was 7 years ago and now he is healthy with no walking problems.

Sugar is Sugar is...: Nope. No difference at all in how your body perceives these sugars.  Remember that sugar is the problem in obesity and that sugar should be limited when trying to live a healthy life style.

after some major diet changes pursuant of changes in finances, i recently noticed the large amount of refined sugar i was consuming. it is well over a 100g and i am deeply concerned about the permanent damage i might have done. need some help to miti?

: Damage usually involves a prolonged period- so unless it was for years chances are there was no damage as the body is very resilient

Unlikely: It is very unlikely to have a true allergy to refined sugar, but sugar and other quickly digested carbohydrates (starchy foods) may trigger a reaction. Ask your doctor is you are having episodes of low blood sugar after eating starchy  foods with lots of carbs.

No: Tv's intended to amuse and sell stuff, not inform. Epidemiologic data generates huge numbers of correlations that have nothing to do with causality. Cancer develops because genes mutate and cells bearing these genes are encouraged to grow; candy does neither, but the public wants to hear that things that are enjoyable are bad for them. Candy-chompers may have other bad habits like smoking.

i am experiencing numbness on the right side of my face. it  does this everytime i have a piece of candy or refined sugar. ?

Unclear: Sometimes people can have reactions to certain foods or drinks and get a tingly or even numb sensation around the mouth.  I've never heard of it happening just on one side of the face.  Since it only happens each time you sugar or candy, it's probably not dangerous, but you may want to get a neurologists opinion and see if they can offer any insight.

i have been using colgate antiplaque/anyigingivitis mouthwash and listerine 4x to 5x daily. i read online this can cause diabetes. ive been doing this for 2.5 yrs now. i have also tried to completely omit refined sugar?

i don't take any kind of processed food,white bread,pastas anddon't take ant refined sugar.my only diet is fruits,homemade chappati,veggie. my diet ok?

Diet: Your diet may be lacking in protein and certain vitamins.  Do consider adding additional protein sources such as tofu, lentils and beans along with a B vitamin supplement, specifically one with B-12.
