infected cyst just under eyebrow. prescribed doxycycline hyclate and mupirocin. how quick will these two meds reduce cyst size. will i still have to get this drained. or will meds remove cyst. not sure why derm didn't go ahead and drain. ?

Close to the eye: I would think the dermatologist factored in the risk of incision and drainage in an area like that... For example - cut too deep and you may damage the eye, that would be right underneath the scalpel blade (at least the top part of the eye and some important muscles that control the eye). Doxycycline and that ointment should work -it's dual therapy. See the doctor in a couple days if no better.

would putting my head over boiling water and vicks help to drain the fluid from my two ear infections?

More a waste of time: If something needs to drain it will spontaneously.If you have a middle ear infection the fluid must drain into your throat from the eustachian tube.  If outer ear, it drains by itself. If you enjoy holding your head over boiling water, do so &  you can relax. I wouldn't ever do it myself.

have dentist appt in two days for infected but draining tooth,  i feel fine but should i push for anything earlier?

Up to you: If there is no pain and you are not swollen, you are probably fine for 2 more days.  With that said, if you are concerned of problems occuring prior to your appointment, you can always ask for something earlier.

what are ways to help the drain fluid from behind ear drums? ive had fluid stuck since end of july. my ears dont look infected ive been told but do have fluid. its really bothering my ears. thank you?

: Fluid behind the ear drum can be drained by inserting tubes. It would be prudent to see an ENT doctor for an evaluation and choices of treatment.

Tinnitus: These symptoms may represent a condition called tinnitus, where one hears buzzing or ringing in the ears, or water noises as you have described.  I would consult an ENT physician who can do tests in his office to determine whether there is eustachian tube obstruction or fluid behind the ear drum that is causing these sounds to be heard.

Stye?: Your description sounds like a stye. I assume you meant inner lower eyelid, rather than eye. A stye (hordeolum) is a plugged oil gland in the eyelid, which can sometimes become infected. Alternatively, it could be an plugged (and possibly infected) tear duct (dacryocystitis). In either case, i recommend seeing an ophthalmologist to be sure.

i got some lidocaine shots done. they put them in my scalp. i noticed one of the sites has a white head looking thing with some redness around. this was done 6 days ago. how should i clean it ? does it sound infected ?

: There could be infection in view of the redness. Hot ( not too hot) water compresses for 10-15 minutes a few times a day helps bring any pus to a head. Apply rubbing alcohol to the surrounding area to kill staph bacteria. See an MD if increasing redness or pain develop. You could apply antibacterial ointment to the pimple.

i have a swelling on my right eye since sunday. its some sort of a style. yesterday it started to drain and my eye was almost back to normal. i am using cloromax and an eyewash. this morning i woke up and it seems the style collected fluid again.

Staphylococci aureus: It looks that you haze staph infection. Hot compresses and ibuprofen should help you heal. If it has an opening, collection of fluid will drain out by warm compresses.
