Unlikely: Diabetic nerve pain usually starts as a numbness or tingling, not sharp pain. More likely strain or tendonitis.

got off phone. put arm down and intense pain happened. now it hurts to move my arm. pain located on inner right arm slightly above elbow.

Pain in the arm: Probably muscular.  Pain killers and heat pad should help.

R/o muscle rupture: Did you feel a pop? Was it after hitting a ball? Bruising on back of arm is triceps injury, on the front can be an injury to the biceps tendon. Should be checked.

Possible : this is possible especially if you hold the weight of the device with that arm or if you hold the arm close to the chest.  Rest should help you figure it out.

Right arm pain: This is the location of the deeper brachialis muscle, which may be strained. You may also have some sensory nerve irritation, a painful varicosity, or referred neck pain. Also rotator cuff injury or impingement may refer pain here.

Ulnar neuropathy: "inside elbow" is the realm of the ulnar nerve, so your symptoms may represent a cubital tunnel syndrome, which is an ulnar nerve compression condition at the elbow that can cause the symptoms you describe.  Alternatively, a cervical radiculopathy (pinched nerve in your neck) could cause similar symptoms.  See a physician if symptoms persist.

Not neuropathy: neuropathy would cause numbness and weakness if you bruises a nerve. You probably bruise where you hit your arm.  If you did not elevate your arm the swelling went down hill to your wrist.

on/off left arm pain over elbow are and upper area months. neck sore, thumb pointer finger sometimes numb especially at night. cervical fusion c6/7 one year prior for right arm numbness. heart risk factor low hdl and ectopic beats. heart or nerve?

: Does not sound cardiac to me, and more likely you have a left carpal tunnel syndrome or a left C6 nerve involvement.  Followup cervical MRI and a left arm EMG will localize and substantiate severity and provide guide for further intervention.  Talk to your doctor about your heart concerns, unlikely but just to be safe.

Many things: This could be due to many things including originating in the neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist or hand. It could also be muscular, bony, tendonus, or neurologic in nature. See an orthopedist for evaluation to see what is causing your pain.

See below: Arm pain is a vague complaint . Neck problems are often associated . A thorough history and exam with xrays if indicated .  Seek an orthopaedic surgeon specialized in spine . Just because he is a surgeon , he 'll try to exhaust all conservative treatment before surgery . Do not get your neck manipulated .  Examination of the arm , in itself for pathologic findings as there are numerous areas in the arm form hand and wrist that can cause symptomatology can you elaborate on the exact location of your pain quality quantity chronology setting alleviating and aggravating factors and associated manifestations.
