A hamstring injury is a strain or tear to the tendons or large muscles at the back of the thigh. It's a common injury in athletes and can occur in different severities. The 3 grades of hamstring injury are: grade 1 – a mild muscle pull or strain. grade 2 – a partial muscle tear.

Why the pad?: What's reason for pad? Did your buttock pain when walking start before the pad was used? How big is the pad? Does it extend underneath each buttock? Are your pants too tight while wearing the pad?

Buttock pains: Most likely this is due to pressure on a nerve as it comes out between the vertebra of the lumbar spine. This is usually caused by a slipped disk, which happens to all of us at some time or another. Usually if you wait 2-3 weeks, it will resolve on its own. You don't need fancy xrays unless it lasts over 6 weeks.

: Depending on how performed, could be a variation of "high intensity interval training", which is primarily designed as an aerobic approach to cardiovascular fitness.  Do believe that additional effects besides stamina would include enhanced strength and total fitness.

Sciatic nerve pain?: That is what it sounds like, this can often be helped with a chiropractic adjustments, sometimes a warm compress can help some, or muscle relaxants.  There are also exercises that you can look up online that can help to decrease compression on the sciatic nerve, if that is what is causing the pain.

Your symptoms: are a bit confusing since the LOCATION is CLASSIC for Spinal Stenosis ( Degenerative arthritis lumbar spine) but the RELIEF with walking is usually NOT the case( pain of spinal stenosis usually worsens with walking
In  any case you can try HEAT ICE and ALTERNATING HEAT/ICE Whatever helps..but get it checked out!  Your Primary Care Provider (PCP) is the place to start!

Sacroiliac joints : Sounds like you have strained your lower back/ sacroiliac joints. Rest, ice use NSAIDs. If pain 10/10 get full history and physical. Pain shooting down the leg or weakness ups the tempo of the consults needed to immediately. Any incontinence or loss of feeling is a 911 emergency fur cauda equina syndrome.
Along the differential is abdominal pathology like appendicitis so see MD if pain severe.

Most likely disc : Related pain in the lumber spine, that kind of radiation most likely due to problem in the lumber spine or sacroiliac joint on the side. Check it out.
