Why the pad?: What's reason for pad? Did your buttock pain when walking start before the pad was used? How big is the pad? Does it extend underneath each buttock? Are your pants too tight while wearing the pad?

See vascular surgeon: Pad with pain in the thigh and buttocks frequently requires some intervention. Medications can be helpful, as can quitting smoking and exercise. A vascular surgeon can perform tests in addition to a thorough physical and best advise you on a course of action.

Vascular Surgeon: A vascular surgeon is trained to evaluate blood flow to the legs which can cause the type of buttock pain you describe. In addition a vascular surgeon would be able to recommend risk factor reduction, prescribe medications and exercise, and also perform minimally invasive treatments or surgical treatments if needed all of which can help you.
