hi i have been feeling numbness in both the little and third finger of my right hand for the past 18 hours..any idea why?

Ulnar compression: You may have injured the ulnar nerve (the "funny bone" nerve). It can be from trauma, infection, or just sleeping on it wrong. Most common of late: keyboard use with improper position--note how the edge of the table would press on the forearms. Change position, see your doc if it continues.

half of my right hand (ring and little fingers) has been asleep or numb for several hours. can open and close, but feels strange?

Ulnar: Likely ulnar neuropathy....Either guyon's canal (less likely) or moreso from elbow/ulnar groove...Pressure often while asleep or tension with elbows bent.

right side face pain, right eye hurts, numb, right hand/finger tingle, very unsteady, little confused. what should i do?

See below: What meds do you take? Do you have any difficulty speaking, swallowing? Blurred vision? Weakness in arm/leg? Go to er for evaluation. Age & all right-sided symptoms suggest against tia/stroke. Any history of recent head trauma? Have family member bring list of meds, supplements. Do not try to drive yourself!

for 4 months now my middle finger of right hand has been total numbness/pain due to golf injury of forearm. no anti-infl/cortisone helped. any idea??

Need MRI: X-ray won't tell what is going on. You may need MRI of the hand -wrist. Suggest seeing a hand specialist who are Orthopedic doctors.

No medication: There is no medication that helps nerve entrapements. This sounds like a cubital tunnel which is a pinched nerve in the elbow. You can try an elbow brace at night which keeps you elbow straight which takes the pressure off the nerve.

Ulne nerve issue: Your symptoms are fairly consistent with ulnar nerve entrapment. It is usually caused by repeated pressure of elbow along the 'funny bone' area where the nerve travels along before it reaches the 4th and 5th fingers. Try wearing a elbow pad with a sleeve especially during sleep to see if it helps. If symptoms get worse, then consult your doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

Carpal tunnel: If the numbness is more of the palmar side of the hand and spares the 5th finger, it is likely to be carpal tunnel syndrome.

Carpal tunnel : The most common cause of numbness in the middle finger of the hand is compression of the median nerve at the wrist. The middle finger is followed by the index finger, thumb and half of the ring finger. If you also have blanching of the finger along with numbness you may have raynaud's syndrome, a vascular constriction brought on by cold. Wrist position can affect the numbness.

Numbness: most commonly is a symptom of some nerve issue. Inflammation for example may irritate the nerve in the finger causing a numbness,..similar to the "pins and needles" you get in your legs when the nerves are irritated after sitting for long.  If if continues, see the Dr. Best wishes.

Many things: The problem could or be anywhere from the spinal cord, to a nerve root to the brachial plexus to a peripheral nerve.  A brain problem is less likely since you do not mention a problem with your face.  A neurologist can help determine what the problem might be.  The cause of this type of symptom is usually not serious, fortunately.
