i developed a very itchy non-contagious rash on the shape of a circle on my calve and on my lower back upper buttocks...do i need to worry?

Circular rash: Thank you for your question.  A circular eruption on the skin of the lower extremities could be caused by a number of things.  There are different types of inflammatory conditions of the skin that could cause a rash as well as responses to external/internal sources. Roseola prevention: Roseola is a viral infection that is most contagious while the infected person is having the fever.  It is generally not a dangerous illness, and people who have had it will continue to shed the virus intermittently for the rest of their life.  Since it is spread through the saliva, risk of transmission can be decreased by waiting until contacts are rash free, and not sharing cups, etc.

Culture: A stool,culture that is negative will prove that your son is no longer contagious. Do you know for sure it is salmonella that is the cause for his illness? A rash may indicate other illnesses. Have him checked.

No...but: The germs involved in childhood ear infections are local. The germ cannot escape that space &amp; move to the face. If he truly has a blister like rash on his face there can be germs on the skin surface that trigger such an infection separate from the ear infection. If the rash is not blister like it is not impetigo.

rash 3 weeks original rash looks like it's healing but skin around it is red and raised with tiny clear fluid blisters ?

Sound like a burn: Your symptoms are suggestive of a burn, or sunburn, as in a 1st degree burn, where you have redness and blisters but no true deep skin damage.  It is typical for a rash to clear and have blisters left over; they are tiny areas of inflammation fluid left over from the active rash process.  It sounds like it is resolving.  If it persists are recurs, you should probably see a dermatologist.
