There is a potential for tumorigenicity with "omeprazole" -prilosec-administration has been seen in rat carcinogenicity studies. Because esomeprazole is the s-isomer of Omeprazole which is excreted into human milk, & because of the potential for serious adverse reactions in nursing infants, a decision should be made to discontinue.

Reflux: Do not do anything without your doctor instructing you to do so. I assume your have seen the pediatrician - perhaps a visit to a pediatric GI specialist may help. The reflux has to be evaluated.

It peaks &amp; gradually subsides after they spend more time sitting or standing (gravity holds the food down. The most you can expect from nexium is less pain from the acid backwash. Thickened feeds &amp; spending more time upright may help.

Some babies are just urpers.  So long as the baby is gaining weight normally, and has no coughing episodes, enough food is staying down.
