can high blood sugar cause itchy hands? i dont have diabetes but i just noticed the last two days that when i eat a little too much junk food my palms & my fingers itch like crazy. this has never happened before?

: This may be an indication of neuropathy due to poor control of blood sugar. It is imperative that see a doctor to control your blood sugar better. If you have measured A1c, that should be below 7 for evidence of good control.
Try taking multivitamins with B12, even if that helps, it would not be a substitute for proper glucose control. Blood glucose control is essential to prevent complications.

Saliva: Once you get a " crack:  " in lips , it gets irritated by saliva .  Cover with vaseline frequently and try to avoid licking the area.

Ulcer,salivary gland: Could be a number of things but if it consistently happens more often when you eat those foods and then it goes away or gets smaller in an hour it could be glandular. You should see your dentist or an oral surgeon 
If it stays sore for 7-10 days it could be an ulceration

Bodies accomodate.: Our bodies become used to habitual patterns. If you have been eating small portions of food for a while, your system may go on overload when you eat a larger amount of food. It works the same way for other repeating behaviors. If you go to bed at a particular time, that is usually the time when you feel sleepy. If you eat meals on a schedule, your body sends out hunger cues at that time.

Allergic?: You may be allergic to citrus fruits.  Take some benedryl and either avoid those foods and liquids in the future or see an allergist to find out what foods you may be allergic to.

Long recovery: The tongue is usually pretty quick to heal from injuries like burns and bites - on the order of days. This sounds like a long recovery. In the absence of other symptoms, it is probably running its course... But if it persists much longer or if you have any associated symptoms, or the loss is strictly one-sided and not resolving, it would be worth an exam. Hope this helps!

If you haven't already, you might consider seeing your physician for some lab work, including (1) complete urinalysis, (2) complete blood count, (3) fasting serum glucose, (4) hemoglobin A1c, &amp;  (5) fasting serum insulin &amp; c-peptide. This should at least get you started on the right track.
