why am i the only one who gets bug bites in my family?

Hard to say: No one really knows but from my personal (non-scientifically tested) experience, mosquitos seem to like healthier people.  Just my 2 cents worth.

Sometimes: Sometimes bug bites will trigger prurigo which is a severe type of eczema. Please see your dermatologist for evaluation and to discuss treatment options.

i get bug bites swells and get hot to the touch. out of 9, i'mthe only one that gets them. what should i do?

Allergy/infection: You may be more allergic to these bugs than others. Hot tender spots may be a sign of infection as well.If antihistamines do not help soon see a doctor , you may need topical or systemic antibiotics or steroids.

Bug bait?: Some studies showed that the more C02 one produces the more attractive one is to bugs. In my experience, they tend to prefer female.  The best way is avoidance and prevention. Having a fan blowing helps keep insect away. Wear long sleeve blouse and long pants. Avoid too much perfume. Apply insect repellant.  If too much C02 is the issue, try holding your breath (just kidding). Good luck.

why when im outside at night with friends im always the only one getting bug bites? i have no cologne on to attract them. prob have 25 bug bites now.

Unfortunate: Some people are of the like, unfortunately you seem to be one of the kind,  you can try mosquito repellent, keep an antihistaminic handy and a hydrocortisone cream, leave the place if you can , try to take a bath right away, goodluck

i'm not sure if your the right dr to ask, but i have these bite that i thought were bug bites but some developed a clear blister on top. when one goes away another one comes. they itch and pop easily but they don't appear to be spreading. it's only on top

Need more info: You have come to the right place. Unfortunately rashes are difficult if impossible to diagnose without seeing. It is not clear where these are either. Infected Insect Bite: Insect bites can cause redness, swelling and itching.  In some people the amount of swelling can lead to bruising.  However, if the area is more warm than the normal appearing skin, if it is very tender, and is spreading in size, see MD to rule out possible bacterial infection of the skin known as cellulitis which needs antibiotics promptly.

Ointments...: There are some fine topical otc ointments you can use - mild Hydrocortisone or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) ointments that are fine for short periods of time in babies.  Using a cool pack on the area can also help decrease itch.  Good luck!

Possibly...: It is difficult to make a proper diagnosis since I am not there to see the condition. I recommend seeing a dermatologist so that they can make a proper diagnosis and give you something to get rid of the condition or relieve symptoms.

had 3 bug bites 2 months ago. formed a hard welt on one bite. all 3 continue to really itch. one scabbed. how to get rid of?

But bites: The firm mass at one bite site may be a small blood clot(hematoma) from bleeding under the skin which occurred at the time of the bite. As long as these bite sites are not hot and reddened no secondary infection is likely and you can apply a cortisone type ointment to relieve itching. The hematoma may very slowly resolve.
