i have thoracic spondylosis with schmorls nodule  on lower endplate t1&upper end t12. and degenerative disc diseases at c4-c5,c5-c6&l5-s1.pls help

More informaton: needed/ This sounds like the spine of an older person not a 40 year old unless there has been heavy duty lifting as a part of the history! Schorls nodules are not really significant but the degenerative disc disease should be evaluated by Spine Specialist.

Accepted Answer

It means: that the findings are consistent with minimal arthritic changes.  It means nothing else and doesn't indicate that there is a serious issue or even that the individual in question has pain,  It is solely a radiographic finding.

Spinal cord: Disc protrusion, stenosis and spondylosis are unlikely to be caused by an infectious process, but reactive end-plate changes can occur with infection. You need further evaluation.

Not uncommon: These are changes in the bones of the back associated with aging. These changes are similar to arthritis changes and do not necessarily cause any symptoms. They can be seen in most people to varying degrees after age 40-50. 
These spurs may irritate the nerves going to the buttocks or legs. Th spondylosis refers to one vertebrae sliding out of line slightly with the others. This is minor /common

: Since the spinal canal doesn't appear to be constricted, your findings are more characteristic of wear&amp; tear arthritis of the spine &amp; degeneration of discs.  Plenty of reasons for back pain. . Foraminal narrowing at the right side of the neck is a cause of nerve impingement that can cause right shoulder and/or arm pain.

Spondylosis: Unfortunately.. once you have spondylosis (or arthritis of the spine), you have what you have. There is no way to reverse the process, although this does not mean 'pain'... There are lots of people with terrible spines and no pain, and vice versa. 'Motion is Lotion' I often say to people with spondylosis and mild flexibility exercises and lots of walking are typically helpful. Good luck!
