i have allergist-diagnosed food allergies. now i'm reacting to ham lunch meat (gas/diarrhea/itchy palate). could it be a preservative allergy?

each time i eat dairy products i have diarrhea, bloating, gas, fatique. but as child i never had any problems. 
can it be possible to develope intolerance with age? aswell it seems i still have problems if i use lactose free milk. might be allergy?

ALLERGY: Yes, symptoms can appear as an adult. Please consult with an ENT/Allergist Doctor to be diagnosed and treated. If you are allergic to dairy then lactose free doesn't help. Dairy allergy involves the immune system, it is not lactose intolerance.

Lactose intoleranc: No, this probably is not an allergy, but rather a common problem with the digestion of the sugar in milk called lactose.   A digestive problem called lactose intolerance  often develops with aging. People do not manufacture enough of the enzyme lactase to digest the lactose and symptoms of gas, bloating, diarrhea and indigestion can occur.  The more milk the more symptoms.

i had a helllers myotomy 8wks ago. the last 2wks after eating dinner at 6pm i get severe gas pain and diarrhoea lasting 12-18hrs keeping me up all night. what could be the cause and how can i fix it please. i have no allergies and no pattern to food?

: This procedure should not cause diarrhea'. Stop solid food and drink small amounts of fluids frequently. call your surgeon and let her/him know. It might be from eating something which caused GI irritation/ infection. Hope you feel better

Possible: Have you had problem with soy or dairy products before? Soy may cause gas just like other beans and milk if lactose-intolerant.  Are there any other ingredients in the product?  Could the product be contaminated with gluten? However this can just be a coincidence also. You may have to challenge yourself with each of the ingredients or the same product to find out.  Yes, can be allergy also.

Yes: Especially in children. Many food allergies can be outgrown with maturing immune and gastrointestinal systems.  Most patients with diarrhea don't have a true food allergy (involving immune system response) as the cause.  Diarrheas may be due to digestive issues (e.g. Celiac sprue), intolerance, malabsorption (e.G lactose), infection (bacterial, viral, parasitic), inflammatory, irritable bowel.

hi, i have emetophobia so when i get loose stools i worry that i will get gastro. what are some other causes for loose stools?  i did have slightly spicy food for dinner last night and i also am lactose intolerant.

? ur diet: That's a rather open question, hiw do you know thst u don't lactose intolerance or gluten allergy, watch ur diet, have a diary of what u eat every day, and c ur doctor if the condition stays.

Unlikely: These two phenomena may not be related. It would be very unusual to attribute these side-effects to this birth control substance, although anything is possible.  More likely that you have a gastroenteritis unrelated to the pills. If this continues, discuss with the doctor who ordered these.
