Unlikely: These two phenomena may not be related. It would be very unusual to attribute these side-effects to this birth control substance, although anything is possible. More likely that you have a gastroenteritis unrelated to the pills. If this continues, discuss with the doctor who ordered these.

Marvelon: Agree w dr. Raff. Marvelon (desogestrel & ethinylestradiol) can sometimes cause nausea & vomiting or liver problems, however i did not note severe gas or diarrhea listed as side effects.
