What other: Tests or if you need a second opinion depend on what your symptoms are and what the docs are looking for. I can see you have had a previous MI and have stents and it sounds like your heart pumps normally but I don't know your question or current problem. I don't even know your meds. Sorry

i have a congenital bicuspid aorta and moderate regurgitation. i am 61 and have no symptoms. does taking niacin and drinking a lot of water help?

No: Drinking 'a lot' of water is not recommended. You're valve is abnormal (and has been since birth), in the future you may need a replacement but it sounds like you don't need one now. You will need a new valve when aortic regurgitation becomes severe or when you develop symptoms. Niacin and other medications to control the cholesterol have been studied and don't prevent disease progression.

60 yrs male mvp with mild to moderate regurgitation few episodes of arrhythmia per day ( skipped heartbeats) after meals/ activities why do my symptoms worsen when i take viagra/cialis as needed. is it safe to take these pills ? much obliged?

: I assume it's not the ensuing sexual activity that produces symptoms. Since these meds cause a drop in blood pressure, they can affect the heart rate and/or rhythm.and provoke any atrial or ventricular  irritability. Since you have significant mitral regurgitation from MVP, I assume you're followed by a cardiologist who can also advise you best in this matter.

what is moderate tricuspid regurgitation?

L leaky heart valve.: The tricuspid valve controls blood from the upper right chamber to the lower right chamber of your heart.  It's supposed to be a one-way flow, but when your right ventricle (the lower chamber) contracts, some blood is being forced back upwards.  Moderate means there is significant  blood flow backwards, but it isn't yet severe.  This needs to be followed by your cardiologist.

Probably yes: This is a condition which generally does not remain stable with time.  Depending upon the cause of the regurgitation and your age you can expect that it will deteriorate with time.

This is not normal: but at the same time is not severely abnormal. You need to be evaluated by a cardiologist to determine the nature of your valvular heart disease and mild pulmonary hypertension in order to determine an appropriate treatment to avoid progression.

: It sounds as though the degree of leak of your valve is similar to the leak reported on your earlier echocardiographic study. However, to be sure, it's best to request a comparison of the two studies.

: No. Anxiety or other psychological issues cannot cause anatomic changes to the heart.
