A member asked:

I have mild to moderate aortic regurgitation. will it get worse?

Probably yes: This is a condition which generally does not remain stable with time. Depending upon the cause of the regurgitation and your age you can expect that it will deteriorate with time.

Aortic regurgitation: Minimal aortic regurgitation may not progress. Moderate or worse aortic regurgitation generally gradually results in progression of the problem over years. It is prudent to monitor the situation periodically to see if progression is happening. Echocardiography is very useful for this purpose.
