Should be ok: Klacid is clarithromycin, a pregnancy categoryb--which is considered safe during pregnancy. Sinecod is a cough suppressant with category-c, which means studies show some risk in animal but no human study to show such. Often, prolonged exposure during early pregnancy is more of a concern. Your brief exposure is likely ok for the pregnancy. Consult doc if u have more concnerns.Congrats and good luck.

i just found out i'm 6 weeks pregnant. what should i be doing food & medicine wise? i'm 22, a fussy eater and allergic to penicillin. thanks

Change Nothing: Avoid penicillin during the pregnancy since you are allergic but there are absolutely no recommendations for food avoidance during pregnancy since the fetus is not sensitized or affected by what you eat. Only avoid foods you don't like or have been allergic to in the past.

my wife got pregnant, in her ultra-sonogram report says she's 5 , 6 weeks pregnant, so is there a medicine that can help me or abortion is only option?

Medicine is availabl: Assuming that your wife agrees that termination of pregnancy is apprropriate, medicine can be used to end an early pregnancy without a surgical procedure. She would consult a provider and be given instructions on how to take pills and what to expect then. Birth control thereafter would seem best to avoid repitition.

ive had a cold for a few days but now have a tight chest/dry cough. im 6 weeks pregnant. are there any safe cough medicines i can take (prospan?)?

See your doctor: you may have bronchitis, and would need Rx medications as inhaled bronchodilators, to help the bronchial irritation hence help the cough, and you may need antibiotics too. As for the prospan, a herbal medicine, may or may not help your case, besides I am not sure if it can be taken while pregnant, read the labels, best wishes

hi, i am currently 6 weeks pregnant and have pcos. therefore, my doctor prescribed me vageston 200 as people with pcos have a slightly higher chance of miscarriage. is this medicine safe to use when pregnant?

: "Vageston" or other progestin medications are used in early pregnancy to augment potential inadequate progesterone manufacture by the placenta.  Progestins in pregnancy are safe, but may not always protect against miscarriage.

Yes: make sure to drink plenty of water and get rest.  If your temperature is over 100.4, or your symptoms become worse, call your doctor.  Tylenol is safe to take in pregnancy as well as most decongestants like benadryl, tylenol cough/cold, dayquil

: Make certain you blood potassium is normal. Patients with this due to primary aldosteronism and low K are often miss- diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Discuss with your Dr. Can also have high blood pressure problems during preg.  Discuss.

The reason for this is that during formation of the embryo, events are meadured daily and weekly, and when speaking about early labor every single day has a specific outcome and prognosis. This is most important when discussing fetal lung maturity.
