See your doctor: you may have bronchitis, and would need Rx medications as inhaled bronchodilators, to help the bronchial irritation hence help the cough, and you may need antibiotics too. As for the prospan, a herbal medicine, may or may not help your case, besides I am not sure if it can be taken while pregnant, read the labels, best wishes
