A member asked:

Hi, i am currently 6 weeks pregnant and have pcos. therefore, my doctor prescribed me vageston 200 as people with pcos have a slightly higher chance of miscarriage. is this medicine safe to use when pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"Vageston" or other progestin medications are used in early pregnancy to augment potential inadequate progesterone manufacture by the placenta. Progestins in pregnancy are safe, but may not always protect against miscarriage.
