Yes: The new diagnostic manual for psychiatrists the dsm-v acknowledges that panic attacks can accompany several mental illnesses in a way that should be considered simultaneously and can be a specifier for a more severe and complex variety of illness. The reason this is significant is because previously in dsm-iv it was less clear which symptoms were severe mental illness or a separate panic disorder.

Complicated.: This is a complicated question.  As you recognize you have four separate diagnoses: PTSD / depression / mania / anxiety.  The meds that treat these overlap quite a bit and the selection of meds will depend upon which of these is really driving your symptoms. Best med or (probably) combo of meds will not be the same for everyone and will have to take into account all kinds of factors.

Geodon (ziprasidone): Talk to your doctor about mood stabilizers and alternative anti-manic medicationif helsinki was not replaced with another psychotropic med.

Call the doc.: If a medicine combo is not working, let the doc know so it can be adjusted.  Consider a second opinion with another psychiatrist if that is not successful. HELPS: With an expert diagnosis of bipolar, antipsychotic medications help but mediactions must be monitored and sometimes changed to prevent recurrance of symptoms. Psychotherapy will also help, but recurrance is to be expected and treated quickly.

Mania ??!: What do you mean by that? Prozac (fluoxetine) along with other drugs are used in bipolar but if  you have bipolar it is possible to set off mania in a person diagnosed with bipolar disorder not on any other meds. It is important not to self diagnose and get a thorough evaluation so you can get the right medication for you. If you are having problems on Prozac (fluoxetine) call your doctor.
