Anxiety with racing thoughts, speech excited, is it like a form of mania?

Possibly: There are many factors that would need be considered to determine whether this is a manic episode. Mania is characterized by inflated self-esteem or grandiosity, decreased need for sleep, pressured speech or talkativeness, racing thoughts, distractibility, increased pursuit of goals, and excessive involvement in foolish activities. Anxiety can also be associated with unusual thoughts or speech.
