i have developed a rash on my neck. red and blotchy in that not well defined edges. gets worse with sun exposure. not scaly, itchy or painful. just red. also have a lesion/sore in mouth on palate show up at same time..unsure if related. ?

Unfortunately it: will be impossible to diagnose you over the internet since we cannot see your rash or your oral lesion. These findings could easily be related to an autoimmune process or your medications. You need to make an appointment with your health care provider to discuss these new findings. Don't delay.

Could be viral infec: Mouth lining(roof and throat/tongue) are prone to viral infections(sometimes called Canker sores). They often produce shallow ulcers which take 2-3 weeks to heal spontaneously. Usually there is no treatment required.
So give it another 7-10 days. if it does not settle down then you need to go see your doctor for a medical check up. You may need antibiotics.

after not eating for 12-24 hours and then begin to eat again my hard palate becomes very sore and swollen. any help would be appreciated. thx?

No idea?: This is not a common complaint.  Why are you not eating for 12-24 hours?  Allergic reaction? This would need to be seen by a dentist for a proper diagnosis. Have him\her look at it when your palate is sore and swollen as described.  You also might want to re-evaluate your eating habits and how this affects your general health. When was your last medical checkup?

Need More Info: If the black dot is in the same exact location of your previous cold sore, it could be an eschar or "scab" from the healing cold sore. More information would be needed before a more definitive answer can be provided.

Nicotine Stomatitis: All tissues will respond to repeated attacks by mounting a defense. Smoking exposes the mouth to heat, the chemicals and the vapors of burning tobacco & can cause changes in the appearance. These changes can indicate the beginnings of oral cancer or be completely benign. Only a dentist can tell for sure and may reccommend a biopsy of the area to be certain so you need to have it checked right away.

can you get herpes from cheek kisses? my grandma whos hsv1 positive has it and would give me cheek kisses last year. also i had a pen sore shaped inside my hard palate that lasted a day or 2 and disappeared randomly w/o medication, was it from her?

my two front teeth were sensitive and sore about a week ago. i switched to sensodyne. no help, now my front top and bottom teeth hurt so bad. i can't eat or sleep. my hard palate is white and super sensitive. there are no cavities and i brush twice daily!

Possible infection: Typically "sensitive teeth" do not cause pain at the level  you are describing.  The white and painful palate is concerning for infection in the soft tissue. It does not take long for infection to travel from your mouth into your brain so this needs to be looked at today as 24 hours can make a big difference. If you cannot see your Dentist then utilize Urgent Care or ER.

Yes, two!: First, stop smoking! although there are other possible causes, smoking can cause irritation and inflammation to the soft tissues in the mouth and eventual cancerous lesions.  Second, see a dentist to diagnose and treat your teeth and gums before you lose your teeth.  Both serious conditions that need to be evaluated and treated as appropriate.

Sore throat: It is likely you have an infection in your throat. Viral infection will typically resolve on its own. Bacterial infections, however, (ie: strep), will require antibiotics in order to resolve. I recommend you consult with your doctor in order to make the correct diagnosis and initiate appropriate treatment.
