my boyfriend has itchy bumps on his hips, thighs and genital area. he takes 2 benadryl, (diphenhydramine) 4 advil and b&e powder for his tooth ache. allergic reaction maybe?

Contact dermatitis?: Itchy rash on hips thighs and genital area suggest the diagnosis of contact allergy. The contact for that area could be a detergent in the intimate apparel. Usually local application of cortisone cream makes a better choice. Double rinsing of the clothes once with and once without detergent may help to reduce the reaction. You may see your doctor to rule out any other cause.

i have a real bad tooth ache and i can see my flesh coming out of my tooth. the pain will not stop. i now have penicillin, ibuprofren. i cannot eat, think, sleep or anything for four days. can i take a ciprofloxacin with penicillin?

: You need to see a dentist for an extraction ASAP. The tooth appears to be infected and hopelessly decayed. Penicillin is the antibiotic of choice to control the infection, not remedy the problem. : If you have normal kidney and liver function and you are using it for an acute reason only, the maximum dose would be 3200mg daily. If you are using it for a more prolonged time interval, then you should limit the dose to 2400mg daily. If you do not have normal kidney or liver function (or you are unsure), then ask your doctor who knows your clinical situation best. Good luck!

Depends: If you've seen a dentist and you were prescribed vicodin for your toothache, no problem. In fact, alternating it with advil (ibuprofen) may increase comfort. If you have some left over from another issue, best to see a dentist first to assess your situation. Vicodin may mask your symptoms making diagnosis more challenging. In no circumstance combine vicodin and any other Acetaminophen (tylenol) meds.

If : If the tooth is hurting you that much, then it probably has something to do with the nerve inside the tooth. The topical meds and otc pain relievers will not fix the problem.

I suggest you see a dentist as soon as you can to determine if the nerve in the tooth is still vital. The tooth may need root canal therapy.

Antibiotics: Pain medication doesn't treat the root cause. You also need antibiotics.
