Oral pain: Medications such as norco, (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) vicodin, or tylenol #3, can be prescribed.  For milder pain, try Ibuprofen or acetaminophen.  Ask your surgeon to make sure these are ok to take.

Same as w/any surger: Common issues are infection, bleeding & scarring. Less common would be nerve damage leading to (permanent) numbness in the surrounding area. Of course, it also depends upon surrounding area, underlying blood vessels & nerves as well as experience of physician. Big picture perspective: most lipoma excisions are pretty low risk, at least compared to brain, heart & abdominal surgery.

I favor surgical rem: Surgical removal is recommended because MRI is not 100% reliable in making the distinction between a benign(Lipoma) and malignant fatty tumor (Liposarcoma).

Research First.: The main reason for removing these types of lipomas is pain, however there is some consideration as to the ratio of the size of the lipoma to the size of the calcaneous. Lifestyle and activity level must also be considered. It would be wise to have several opinions as to technique, post operative protocols and most importantly, experience in performing this particular procedure.

Lipoma: There is very little chance of malignant transformation; the more likely explanation is that it was traumatized and now the dead tissue is causing pain and swelling. If it doesn't resolve, it should be removed.

Hand surgeon: Nerve damage after wrist surgery is a well know possibility even the best of hands. It can take up to 1-2 years, butay reaolce on its own. Consider however a second opinion from a hand surgeon - usually a plastic or orthopedic surgeon. Hope this helps!

I'm not clear what you are asking. 
Did you have a lipoma surgically removed?
It is normal for a wound to hurt after surgery so really, don't press on it!
You do not say when the surgery was. If more than a few months ago the wound should not still hurt, so I would go back to the doctor who did the surgery to re-evaluate.

Surgery: Lipomas are fatty tumors located beneath the skin.  Surgery is the only option for their removal.

No: You are right to be suspicious- the claims are bogus. Surgery is the only way to get rid of them.

No: All require surgery liposuction does not really work.
