Hand surgeon: Nerve damage after wrist surgery is a well know possibility even the best of hands. It can take up to 1-2 years, butay reaolce on its own. Consider however a second opinion from a hand surgeon - usually a plastic or orthopedic surgeon. Hope this helps!

Next step: You need to see a hand surgeon at this point. That would provide you with the needed answers.

Not necessarily: Depending on where the lipoma was located, it could have been pressing on a nerve. Nerves are very sensitive. They bruise easily. It can takes several months for nerves to return to normal. See your surgeon to discuss the numbness and the limited movement. The surgeon is the best one to answer this as they were present in the surgery and know what took place.
