Several reason : Some discomfort is normal. If i did surgery on your hands you would feel the effects of this surgery for several weeks. In dentistry we do surgery on teeth with burs not scalpels. If the discomfort is increasing in intensity or duration the nerve inside  your tooth may not be able to repair itself after the surgery. In particular sensitivity to hot should be discussed with ur dentist  quickly.

Yes: Dental bridges are used for the replacement of  1, 2 up to 4 missing teeth, depending on the location of the missing teeth.   A dental bridge "bridges" the span from one tooth to another much like the golden gate bridge.  However hooking two or more teeth together makes cleaning more difficult.  Almost in every situation a dental implant is a better long term solution.  Talk to a dentist.

NO SUPER GLUE ! ! !: Super glue is not formulated to be used intraorally, and it will do absolutely nothing to hold your bridge in place. If the bridge still fits well on your teeth it can be easily recemented by a local dentist. Placing superglue on either the teeth or the bridge may necessitate fabrication of a new bridge, which is more expensive than just having it recemented.

Good Observation: Yes, crowns and bridges usually have a band of metal on the lingual surfaces, with porcelain baked over the rest of the restoration. The band of metal imparts strength to the restoration and helps prevent flexing. The metallic taste can be from a cavity or other gum issues. have yourself evaluated.

Depends: Have a prosthodontist evaluate the space and surrounding teeth. If an implant is possible, it is a much better solution. If you are stationed on the base, there should be a prosthodontist on the dental staff. If not, there should be one in town. Your best course of action is to address your concerns with your restorative dentist. Dental prosthetics are custom made and you should be happy with your smile and appearance.
