can i take advil for my sore throat since i think i am catching a cold even though i have had a concussion for three weeks? will it cause a brain bleed or anything since i know i'm not really supposed to take motrin with my concussion.

Brain bleed?: Unfortunately, head injuries and concussions are common. Stuff just happens. Theoretically, Motrin and Advil might have a higher chance of bleeding in the first days after a concussion, compared to Tylenol. In reality, haven't heard of people bleeding after a concussion merely because they took a few Motrin or Advil. See:

kind of freaking out. i have a mild concussion according to my doc. but i didnt realize i wasnt supposed to take ibuprofen. ive been taking it for headaches every other day for a week. am i going to have a brain bleed??

: Ibuprofen or other class of NSAIDs, although increase risk  of bleeding, but that happens when taken on a chronic/extended basis. You have taken only fro 3-4 days which is not considered harmful enough. And the commonest organs involved are esophagus, stomach or gastrointestinal tract. Tylenol would be your safe bet for pain. I wish you speedy recovery.

i just started taking 1 ginkgo biloba pill for 3 days but also been taking 2-3 ibuprofen a day should i be worried about brain bleeding?

Why the gingko??: Yes, one of the adverse effects is poor clotting, and the two together would likely affect coagulation to a minor extent.  But who convinced you to waste your money on gingko, which has been extensively studied, and has no value in treating any medical conditions?  Furthermore, consumers union surveyed 10 bottles labeled for gingko, and most had zero herb contents.

Maybe: Brain hemorrhages have multiple causes but usually have a significant headache associated with them.  There can also be neurological deficits like weakness or tingling.  If you have any thoughts that a hemorrhage is possible, you should seek medical attention for evaluation immediately!

Subarachnoid bleed: Certain patient has artherosclerosis which is hardening of elastic artery which can be broke when sudden high pressure develops. No abnormalities can be seen until it perforate and bleed, most of time, high blood pressure related, as " subarachnoidal hemorrhage".

Maybe: Aspirin causes platelet dysfunction and may lead to brain bleed but mostly in some type of trauma.

: Cerebral veins are normal findings which are completely different from cerebral bleeding. Most cerebral bleeding is due to arterial pathology, not from the venous problem.

what can happen from pushing a car by myself? can i get brain bleed anyruism or stroke or heart attack? or anything

Strain injuries: Sudden maximal strain such as pushing a car can cause strain to rupture a brain blood vessel/aneurysm, or can cause a heart attack. Of course, muscle/skeletal injuries such as muscle strain, muscle tear, or ligament damage can also occur.
If the car you are pushing starts to roll backward, this could also result in injury from the car itself.

Much caution is needed during pushing cars manually.

i sneezed extremely forcefully and felt a pop sensation in the back of my head. i have a headache in that spot now that hasnt gone away. should i be worried i have a brain bleed?

: Brain bleed does not cause a popping sensation. Pain in that spot could be due to the soft tissue strain of the area on sneezing. Use local hea tit should gradually get better. If not pl see your MD.

i got kicked in the head this morning on my left temple by my 5 year old it was pretty hard my glasses got knocked off and my vision went blurry for a few minutes. should i be worried about a brain bleed? it happened 7:30 am its now 2 pm?

: If you have symptoms of increasing confusion, headache, nausea/vomiting, worsening vision, drowsiness, slurred speech get to an ER immediately. Concussion symptoms are usually less severe but could involve memory problems and some headache. If it seems that have these symptoms it would be wise to get checked. The eye itself could be affected by blunt trauma, and an eye exam would rule out injury.
